Our firm, as well as the indepdant contractors, are in no way affiliated with The Blackbeard Treasure Hunt, their owners, or their affliates. We were compensated for our development services based on the client's technical requirements and vision for their website. Based on our research, and to the best of our knowledge, there is not, nor has there been, a scam of any capacity in regards to The Blackbeard Treasure Hunt. The confusion arose from our understanding after reading some news articles on the internet, there was a miscommunication between the date that the maps went on sale and the date that the maps would be delivered electronically to customers. According to one news article, the owner of The Blackbeard Treasure Hunt recently relayed to those who had purchased a map prior to August 10, 2020, would be entitled to a refund due to a "glitch" in communications regarding the official start date of the treasure hunt. In an effort to distance our firm from the matter, while easing tension throughout the internet community, we respectfully ask that you reach out to The Blackbeard Treasure Hunt organization via their website for questions and refund requests. According to their website, if you are seeking a refund they will process the request for you. Again, what we've heard is that there was just a mistake on the map delivery dates and the dates that the treasure hunt is set to begin- This is not a scam, just miscommunication from their organization.
